Easter weekend, Conference, and Engagement!!!!

Alex and I decided to take a trip up to Pennsylvania where his mother lives for Easter weekend and so that she could have some company during General Conference. It was a nice ride up there, we stopeed at Krispy Kremes of course...it's a tradition that cannot be broken. I had gone to Target on Friday and I bought her a cute basket and filled it with goodies for Easter!!! It was pretty dang cute! We got there and had a picnic for Easter down by the waterfalls she has in her backyard...they are AMAZING!!!! We had such a good time together. Conference was so good, I always look forward to this time, because it's so nice to listen to all of the talks and speakers and the choir. Alex was getting ready to go to the priesthood meeting later that night, and asked me to wait up for him. I was so tired and he finally got home at 11:00 p.m. I waited up just for him to come and ask me if I wanted to go on a walk. As you can guess, I was not a very happy person. I went on the walk but was very grouchy. When we got back to the house I could tell he wasn't happy either. So we just both went to sleep and got some rest. the next morning he said he wanted to go take some pictures by the waterfalls. I was in so much of a better mood, mostly because I am more of a morning person and not a late night person like he is. But i got dressed cute and we went and took some pictures. He kept looking at me and kissing my cheek, lips, hand...I was getting annoyed becuase he doesn't usually act like that. So next thing I know, he says " Well I have some news for you" He reaches down his pants " the ring is in a box tucked in his undershirt, while the belt is holding it" He tells me, " The ring came in early" and he gets down on one knee and says " Ms. Senia will you marry me?" It was so sweet and I just laughed and was so shocked that I was actually FINALLY getting it!!! he made a comment, you never said Yes or No... I laughed and said YES!!! It is GORGEOUS!!! We called everyone and let them know!! I am now making my own announcements, they are so stinkin cute!!! Well that has been the most recent news lately!.

Red Lobster and Ring Shopping

March 15,2010

For those of you who don't know the story of how soon Alex and I went to go look at engagement rings, here it is!!! I had been back for 1 day and that night Alex took me to Red Lobster and then Ring shopping!!! What an amazing guy, RIGHT???!!!! It was a fun night of just being so happy to be back together laughing, hugging, kissing, just having a great time!!! We went to alot of stores and finally found a ring that I absolutely LOVED!!! We will see when I get it now!!!

Surprise Alex!!!

This is by far the best story I have to tell... I am so madly in love with Alex, he is such a hard worker, so cute, great with anything he does, just your typical "All American Guy". I had moved back to Arizona for six weeks and decided that I wasn't feeling the happiest without Alex there with me. I have to tell the whole story for my sake because I want to remember it exactly how it happened. I got a nanny job offer in the same town I was in before I left and it was with some friends of my last family. I took the job and told Alex all about it. He was so excited to hear that I was coming back! I told him I would be back on March 27,2010. He was so excited to know that and that he had something to look forward to. I told him that I was going to go do baptisms for the dead that next Saturday, and that I was having an all girls night the night before baptisms, so I wouldn't be able to talk at all. While I made up this huge story so that he would have NO idea that I was flying back that weekend to SURPRISE him!!! I had such a hard time keeping it a secret, the only thing that kept me going and not opening my mouth was the thought of " this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, I can't ruin it". So I was to fly out on Friday night at midnight, but ended up flying out at 3:30 that next morning. I was so tired and grouchy, I hadn't slept at all because I was so excited to come back to CT. I finally landed in New York, and I go to get my bags, and I am missing my huge suitcase...I had a small carry on with some clothes, so I was okay for a couple of days. I got to see the new family and played with them for a bit that night. It was really funny when I got here, I started sneezing so much. I noticed they had 2 cats, a hampster, 2 dogs...a ZOO!!! I slept well that night and then it was the big day SUNDAY...my surprise. I called Alex that Sunday morning and talked for about 5 minutes, because I just couldn't hold it in anymore and I knew if I talked to him any longer it would just spill. I couldn't text Alex that much during the day, so he got worried and thought I was mad at him. I told him we needed to talk later, about the temple and the feeling I had. So I get to church and the power is out but they are still having church because the bishop is getting released that day. I walk in and see him sitting toward the front, I walk in and look at his face, he is so sad and I can tell he is just really thinking about something. I walk up to his row and ask very nicely if I can sit next to him...His mouth just dropped...He was so shocked...Being next to him was just so amazing!!! I have never been so happy to see someone before!!! It was the best surprise EVER!!! I totally pulled it off so AMAZINGLY, without him finding out!!! It was such an amazing day!!!

Flagstaff...

I moved from CT to Flagstaff about a month ago. Things have definitely been different with actually being able to sit down for 5 minutes and not having to worry or ask myself "what is Maria doing... or Jake did you do your homework... or what should I make for dinner tonight? These are all questions that I would ask myself throughout the day. I thought it would be a good idea to take a break for a little bit and come home and be with family. The timing was sad though, three days after I came home my Grandpa Mullenaux passed away. It was a very hard and sad time for the family, but it also helped everyone to pull together. He is in a better place and without pain, and the great thing is that it makes me want to be a better person because I know he is watching over me and everyone else and making sure they are doing what's right. I do have good news now though...I decided that I want to go back to CT for one reason. That one reason is ALEX, I want to be close to him so that we can continue this great adventure together. I got a job as a nanny again but with a different family. I will talk about them in my posts to come!! I am SO excited, things will move fast with Alex and I when I get back!!! It is going to be a great time... I can't wait to get back though!!!

New Changes!!!

Last week we had a new addition to our family, I am going back to Arizona and Christa is the new nanny!!! The kids are so cute and have been saying the most cutest things. Maria's new thing is "OHHH MYYY GOSSSSHHH!!!" She says that quite frequently, I just mock her and she gets so upset! She has quite the attitude and is the BOSS of this house!!! Jake had his reconciliation and was so proud that he got to move forward in the next step of one of the sacraments. Alex is learning his new sight words such as... Am, An, Nut, And, To...he is doing so much better. This is my last week here, and it's really sad and hard but life will only get better. It's so nice to have an extra set of hands around. Especially when it seems that I am now having a hard time doing what seems to be like EVERYTHING at one time. With doing homework with Alex, while trying to fix dinner, while answering Jakes questions, and Maria whining that nobody will play with her!!! I really now can say that being a mom is HARD work, but SO rewarding. I have loved every bit of this experiance more than anything. I feel like I have grown so much and learned so so much. I am very grateful to have been placed in such an amazing family. My kids and the parents have really made such a difference in my life and have it just that much better. Laura is this fully italian cook and her cooking is AMAZING!!! She has taught me so much and she is the kind of mother that I want to be some day. I have so much respect and love for Laura. This has been the BEST experience of my life. I am looking forward to being back to my family in Thatcher, it will be different but fun. I am looking forward to seeing what life brings next for me!!!

Fun times in Thatcher

A week in Thatcher is just way too much fun. It is all full of partying, eating, staying up all night playing games, talking, laughing, trips to Dennys, Sonic. It was a very fun week!!! Christmas was really nice, my mom gave me this really really cute Apron that was hand made. All of the girls had one...they were so dang cute!!! It was so nice to hang out with family and cousins. I love being with my family, they are so much fun and just make life the best! One day we took a random trip to the Burger house in Miami for lunch. They have the best burritos. It was just so great to be with family. I have the best father in the world, he flew back with me to Connecticut!!!! It was a great trip.
