A week with Alex

This week didn't start off the best, I had a whole week of vacation time and one planned vacation with the kids, Dan and Laura and 2 days before we were leaving Alex G got really sick. First vacation was done. I was bummed out but then was so excited for the next plan, which was that grandma and grandpa C were coming to NYC!!! I was spending time with Alex and I get a phone call from Grandpa saying that Grandma is sick and he has a sore throat. They weren't able to make it down. I was really bummed out, but then I thought It will be great I can spend the whole week hanging out with Alex!!! I felt so bad for Alex that day because he received his rejection letter from New Haven police that day also. So we just had a poor pity party ourselves. It ended up being a great week though, on Monday I went with Alex to do a moving job that was pretty fun and interesting, but he was such a good sport throughout the whole thing...the lady we moved was crazy!! And she even lied about my water bottle she bought me, after I had told her I didn't want anything!! Her story was that she was getting out of her car and dropped the plastic water bottle and the lid came off, so she hurried and tried to put it back on before all of the water spilled out! I didn't think much of it, so Alex and I get back home and he is looking at the water bottle and doesn't see any scratches but then he finds her lipstick marks right on it!!It was so funny, good thing I didn't drink any of it. We had Olive Garden for dinner that night though, so it was worth it!!!

Then on Tuesday we went on a bike ride to Sonic, I love Sonic, and because we dont have one here in CT I get so excited when I see one. Tuesdays are BBQ night! Alex and his friend Harold have BBQ night every Tuesday night. They ordered a huge pizza, which was short one piece. It was great though! We then went to Friendly's for dessert.

Wednesday was such a long day, we went to the store probably 6 six times that day!!! I am not the best with remembering things and I don't write things down. Alex is so good about making lists and getting in and out of stores really fast! I am the total opposite, I could walk around the store for an hour finding things I need, and he just gets so frustrated!! We got alot of shopping for food done, so that was good. I think our last trip to the store was at 1 a.m. for get stuff for the pecan pie!!! I got to watch Alex and his friend work out at the gym, so that was fun...strong boys is all I have to say!!!

The next morning was an early morning to wake up and put the turkey in the oven!! His cousin Chris came down to spend Thanksgiving with the family, and he was a hoot!!! The boys were so funny and kept us laughing the whole time. The turkey It turned out so delicious, Alex and I seasoned it, then prepared the rest of the food. It was so great, we had alot of food. Our meal contained of Turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoe casserole, corn, stuffing, gravy, rolls, apple pie, pecan pie, punpkin pie, brownie cookies and cream, rice crispy treat dessert ...Alex, his mom, and I spend the whole morning in the kitchen cooking and washing dishes!! I was so great though. His brothers are so funny, I love spending time with his family, they are so much fun to be around. Alex has the sweetest mother ever, she is so nice and laughs all the time!!! We watched movies with her alot too!!

Friday morning was an adventure, Alex is the hardest worker I know and is so good with creating new ideas to make money. He had this great idea that he would sell hotdogs to people in line at the stores at 1 in the morning!!! It turned out great, he sold about 75 hotdogs. He was so funny, he just stood in the back of his truck with his grill and sold hotdogs for $2 dollars! Black Friday is so crazy and I would rather sleep in, instead after we were done grilling we went to a couple stores, then came home and slept for several hours!!! It was a long day, but then I got to go shopping,, we ended the night with going to visit one of Alex's older friend and his family. I was so ready for bed that night!!!

Then Saturday Alex had another moving job, so I went with him and sat in the truck while him and a friend helped a couple move into a house. I love watching him work so hard and how he is so positive throughout the whole time. He's the best guy anyone could ever ask for! We went to Wendy's for lunch, that is another favorite for me! then shopping at Toys R Us for try and find presents for my kids. I got to go with his family to pick out a real Christmas tree. I had never had a real tree growing up, so I was so excited to get to go pick one out with them. While one guy was trying to pick the tree up, Alex's mom was standing behind him, and totally got hit and scratched and her glasses got thrown off and were found in the tree. the people felt bad, so they told us to pick out a wreath for free!!! We then went home for some yummy homemade Broccoli soup that his mom had made!! It was the best soup ever. Then Alex and I hit up a movie, the movie was so good. We were going to see New Moon, but then were told told that Blindside was better. Blind side was such a good movie.

Finally Sunday, it was a great ending to my vacation, we went to church and met alot of his friends. It was a nice day and just relaxed! I was really sad to leave Alex, but happy to get back to my kids!!! It was a great week though!!!!

I Love My Kids!!!

Lately I have been thinking so much about how grateful I am for my wonderful kids!!! They are so sweet and just so special to me. I love how they make life so easy for me, and put a smile on my face everyday. I'm so grateful for Jake and what a good example he is to the younger two, he is so good with playing and keeping them happy. He has had a story for me everyday when he comes home from school, it's usually about certain people at school or something that happened at recess. Alex had half days all week long, so we got some time together to look through his toy magazines. Everything Alex and Maria see in the store, is expressed with an OOOOHH I REALLY LIKE THAT SENIA!!!, CAN I HAVE IT FOR CHRISTMAS??? I was listening to Alex and Jake play together and started to laugh at some of the way Alex pronounces words, delivery is ediverty, obstacle course is oposticle course, Popsicle is pockisole...it's just so cute!!! He asks me if I love him to heaven and back? There are so many funny and cute things that he always does. Then there is Maria, the most independent child I have ever seen. I have been having her help me clean the vegetables I make for dinner, and she loves it!!! She is my worry free child, the other day Jake spilled something on the ground while eating dinner, and Dan said something along the lines of " Jake why is it that your the oldest child and spill the most on the ground?" Maria instantly replied with " Daddy It's okay, you can clean it up!!!" We all just laughed. She is loving dance and dances all throughout the house showing off her plies and arabesque. I am the luckiest person in the whole world to be able to take care of such great kids!!! I love them so much!!! Alex A. and I had a fun date on Saturday, we went and got tacos to go at a little place called Mole Mole, they were so yummy. We took our tacos to the Hudson river Bridge and walked halfway and sat down to eat our tacos!!! It was fun, we finished our walk and got our 2.4 miles of walking in for the day!!! Alex did some work, and then we went to Coyote Grill for dinner, it was a fun date!! I'm so lucky to have the BEST people in my life!!!

Maria has convinced me that she is going to be a Magician!!!!

Alex and Senia

I had been giving Alex a hard time for being a Halloween Scrooge, because he didn't want to do anything fun with me. he finally came around and dressed up, carved a pumpkin, and passed out candy to the 5 trick or treaters that came to his house. I told him they weren't coming because he was giving out Pretzel bags and not candy...it was also raining on and off that night but it was fun! Alex's mom was down to visit so we spend time with her. We played the piano together, and then headed to Taco Bell for the FREE black Jack Taco. For anyone that knows Alex, knows he is all about FREE stuff!! It was a fun night and we all had a great time!!! Alex was pretty funny with his costume, he was a sheriff from the olden days and I was a Pirate!!

Goofy Alex carving our pumpkin!!

Our pumpkin didn't have a stem, so Alex put a nut and bolt to replace our stem!!!
