Pumpkin Patch!!!

This week was another normal busy week as usual. I went and bought some crafts so the kids could have some fun Halloween projects to do. I am NOT a crafty person at all, so going and buying crafts was good enough for me! They had fun doing them and they turned out cute. Then on Friday I took them to a Pumpkin patch/corn maze but I didn't bring any money with me, so we couldn't do the corn maze. We found some fun though... the kids were so happy to see mini and HUGE pumpkins, goats, bunnies, chicken,a cow, and a dog that wanted some attention. So we go to the pumpkin area, and the kids start asking if they can get a pumpkin. I looked at the price and it said 50 cents!! So I said sure you can each pick out a mini pumpkin, they were thrilled!! Then a guy that is in charge comes over to help us, and he says " you know that is 50 cents per pound, right?" I quickly start scrambling up all of my coins and knew I wouldn't have enough, I was really embarrassed and told the kids we couldn't get the pumpkins because I didn't have any money. The man looked at Jakes sweat shirt and said "Since you are wearing a Saint Rose Sweat shirt you can have them each for 50 cents!!! I was so thankful for how kind that man was. The kids were so happy with the mini pumpkins. Then later on that night we all went out to celebrate my 1 year anniversary of being a nanny here!!! YAY!!! We went to a really good Mexican place, Arturo's. It was very tasty!! Saturday it rained all day, and there is nothing better than watching movies on a rainy day!! So Alex and I went and got a pizza, then watched 3 movies!!! Sunday was nice, Stake conference was very good. Alex took me on a ride and did soo good and had great patience with me, while I would be hanging out the window and yelling at him to stop the car so I could take a picture or the beautiful leaves and scenery!! It was great.

Ria's pretty skull!!!

My kids are just too cute!!!!

Maria on her big pumpkin with her mini pumpkin under her feet.

That's as close as they would get to the cow...

Fun times at Science museums

On Saturday we took this kids to s new Science museum in Hartford that they just built. It was such a nice place and the kids enjoyed it very much. It had so many neat things in it and was just such a fun place. There was so much to do and not enough time to do everything in...I felt bad because I kept rushing the kids to get to the next thing so we could get as much done as possible. Some of the things it had were forces in motion, sight and sound experience, that one was really cool because you could hear light and feel sound. Speed and Space, planet earth, the living body, sports labs...like I said just so much. It was funny to watch because alot of the adults were even interested in the things. My pictures aren't that great but the place really is.

Alex at the water center.

Jake LOVES legos and is so good with building things!!!

This is the center to see who was better at relaxing, if the ball moved away from you, then you could relax better. and as you can see Dan was better.

The first space suit on the moon...it was really clean for being the "first" spacesuit to the moon and back. haha

Ria relaxing on the PURPLE bean bag!! she could've laid there for hours if i didn't make her leave.

Another Fun week!!

This week was really long, but filled with fun things everyday. Dan and Laura left their kids and went to a wedding ALONE...I was so glad to hear that they were going away for the weekend and asked me if I would want to watch the kids. I didn't hesitate to answer YES!! I was so excited. The kids and I had such a fun time together. We started off Friday night by going to Denny's for dinner, and then had some time before out movie started so we all went into SPIRITS. It's a Halloween store with costumes and decorations for houses and all that good stuff. they loved going around and pushing all the buttons to hear what the witch says or the people that rip their chest open...Gross I know, but my kids seem to be fascinated by that. We then went and watched Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3D form and they really enjoyed it. On Saturday we went to Fun Factor, a place filled with jumping bouncing castles, slides, and so on. We were there for about 3-4 hours and then stopped by the library to grab a quick movie. It was nice to have an early bednight because they had been up so late the night before. Sunday was nice, my kids let me sleep in untill 8 and I was so happy!! they even stayed in their beds and were so quiet, I made them a huge "feast" as Alex called it, that contained of Eggs, tater tot, pancakes, biscuits shaped in ghosts and pumpkins, fresh strawberries, cinnamon rolls, sausage, and orange juice!! they did so good and ate most of it. We went to Jakes soccer game and came home and heart attacked Dan and Laura's room as a welcome home surprise... i had the kids make cards and pictures, along with alot of balloons that Jake blew up for me! They loved the surprise and had a great night!!!

Maria seems to always be soo messy when I find her...if it's not dirt, then it's jelly or chocolate!!!

Maria and Alex play so well together, they LOVE to put all the stuuffed animals together and have meetings haha!!

I had to put this one up just for my sake, because she NEVER smiles or looks when she knows there is a camera around. First day of Pre-school, she LOVES her teacher!!!

Laura and her surprised face.

Alex...just so cute and is usually wears his hood around to keep his little keppie warm.
this is our tent that was built but somehow Jake ended up in his bed, and alex was slipped into my bed.

Jake and I built sand castles at the beach together...good times good times!!

Maria has been begging for me to make this PURPLE jello for days...so she carries it around and just stares at it...i'm not very nice but had to get a picture of it.

Back to School

I have been living on the East Coast for the last year as a nanny, and I am just loving every bit of it!!! It has been something so new and fun and my family is perfect. Dan and Laura are the parents and they have 3 kids that I watch, Jake 8, Alex 5, and Maria 3. It is so nice to have them all back to school and in activities... Jake is in Soccer and he is just loving it so much. Maria wants to be a princess and always has pretty hair with sparkles and the whole deal. She is a hoot!!! Alex is such a sweetie and cares about everyone and everything, even all of Gods creatures. I stepped on a little bug the other day and he freaked out...I got reminded the rest of the day that "God was angry with me, and was going to scream at me for killing his precious bug!" Alex is so sweet and is my helper, he loves doing things for me without being asked. I notice when he does things so I reward him with little stones in a jar and then he gets to pick a little treat when his jar is full. His favorite saying lately has been, " Am I your favorite Alex? So cute... Anyways things are going great with kids and just busy everyday things. Lately I have had this thing for cooking and baking, I am at the store at least 2 if not 3 times a day getting ingredients. It's awesome I LOVE it!! I usually try it out on my kids first and then if it turns out then I make it for My Alex A. We have had so much fun getting to know each other and our VERY different personalities but it's great, he has taught me alot about life whether it's learning the difference between an S- Pipe and P- Pipe, or the clorifill in the leaves, or how to change oil in a car, I could go on and on. He's really smart and knows so much about life!!! some of the fun things we have done together are going to eat at The Melting Pot, food tour in NYC, Trip to Thatcher, Bike rides, going to work with him at moving jobs, ( I'm a great help, I sit in the truck and watch!!!) Cheesecake Factory, Coyote Grill, Frisbee playing, and baseball catch (he has had alot of patience with me, because anyone who knows me knows that I am NOT good at sports, but I have become a little bit better.) Seeing Wicked on Broadway, he takes me to all of these awesome restaurants that are so good!!! We have such a good time when we are together! That's pretty much all that has been going on lately. Oh and out of nowhere it snowed today...I'm bummed out that I didn't get a real summer. Fall here has been SO Beautiful though, I always tell my kids to look at the pretty colors of the leaves and they get so annoyed but they are good sports and don't get mad anymore when I pull off the side of the road to take a picture of a pretty tree or bush!! It's a great life!!!
