Saturday- Ilene, Alex and I woke up really early to catch our plane at 7:00 a.m. We had a layover and then we were off to Florida. We finally get there and it was sure HUMID!!! I thought it was bad here in CT, but Florida is way WORSE!!! Gene came to pick us up and we then met up with the whole family, Ellen was in the kitchen making snacks, and they were so tasty. We all went swimming and the nice and beautiful pools they have there, they even had a lazy river that I fell in love with. We went back to the room played cards, ate dinner, and then went pool hopping later that night.
Sunday- Alex and I woke up nice and early to get ready for the day at Magic Kingdom. We met everyone there and started on the rides!!! The lines weren't bad, but we also had Heather( a cousin of Alex's) to be our tour guide. She was so good and new all the tricks and what to ride first and so on. We rode on Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain Railroad, the jungle cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Haunted Mansion, Carousel of Progress, Mickys Philharmagic, hall of presidents, Monsters Inc Laugh floor, and thats all I can remember for now. We stopped to eat lunch somewhere in there. Let me tell you about lunch, Ellen and Gene got us these awesome meal plans!!!! We shared 6 snacks and 6 meals at the park everyday, not everyone would come to the park so we would get to have our own, and the snacks and meals were AMAZING AND SO GOOD!!! We went home for alittle bit and took a nap, ate dinner and came strait back to the park for more fast passes that needed to be used up and the Electric Light Parade and Fireworks. Alex, John, Mindy,Roy, Chis, and I had so much fun watching the parade. We got so much attention from the characters since we were so loud and fun!!
Monday- ANIMAL KINGDOM!!!! This park was really fun we well, it was a more relaxed day, with going to Asia and enjoying our safari ride that got cut 13 days short. We saw so many different animals, so it was really neat. We sat down to eat lunch and it started pouring, good thing we were inside. It rained everyday, but only while we were eating lunch. We then went to Expedition Everest, and that ride was pretty cool. Alex and I rode that ride 4 times in a row!!! WE loved it!! The shows we watched that day were Its tough to be a bug, Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo the musical, and they were all terrific!!! And after all that fun, we went back to the timeshare and went swimming some more, except this time was a little bit better, because Alex and I had to move to another timeshare, and so we moved to the Yacht and Beach club, and that pool had a big water slide, and sand at the bottom of the pools!!! SO we had a pool party at our place with the family!!!
Tuesday- Brian came in on Monday and we were all at animal kingdom, so we went back to Magic Kingdom for Brian that day and did everything over again.
Wednesday was MGM Universal Studios!!!! Alex was SOOO excited to go to the TOWER OF TERROR, so we hit that one up first, while Chris got us fast passes for Rock N Roll ROller Coaster... That ride was AWESOME!!!!! Its pitch dark and music blasting in your ears, while doing loops, and taking off from 0-60 in 2 seconds...it was just so awesome!!! Some of the other things we did that day were lights camera action stunt show, that was so cool as well. Star Tours, muppets vision 3D, Indiana Jones Stunt. Wd didnt stay all day there, because it was really humid and we were looking forward to swimming at the pools!!! So that's what we did on Wednesday!!!
Thursday- Lorettas Birthday!!! We let her pick which park she wanted to go to since it was her birthday, and she picked Epcot. The whole family came on this one, and we did pretty much everything there was to do there, but I still want to name everything we did. Living with the land, Soarin, Circle of Life, Then we went to Mexico and ate lunch, and had to tour it so we started with the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring Donald Duck and the three caballeros, then to China and watched refflections of China. We wanted to eat at China as well, so we used our other 3 lunches and ate some Orange Chicken!!! We then went to Norway, and rode a boat ride there.
We didnt go to all the countries, but got most of them, then headed home for dinner and pools again!!!
Friday- We are now on our last day of vacation at Disney world...Alex and I went shopping for some suveniers and then ate at the Rain forest Cafe for lunch. I bought this beautiful Christmas ornament, and now I am really looking forward to Christmas being here so I can hang it up on our tree. I also got a really cute apron, and a towel. We spent most of the day shopping and then went back for our last time to swim, we had so much fun that day- night, we made pyramids, played games in the water, contests of who could swim the fastest, and Congrats to John for beating Alex by a tiny bit!!! This vacation was just AMAZING and it was just a BLAST getting to know the family and LAUGHING SOOO MUCH!!!
Saturday- We got up at 3:00 a.m. to get to the airport and leave for home by 6:00 a.m. on the airplane. I slept the whole way. We hurried home because Alex had a moving job, I went food shopping and then took a nice long nap!!!
Sunday- It was a special day, Alex, Ilene and I went to church. I always love to go to church when Ilene is here in town, because she gets to play the organ at church, and its so nice to listen to her play, shes fantastic. Everyone is so nice to me in the ward, and I still am getting comments on how good of a job Alex did with the reception. I guess I didnt impress them enough!! just kidding!!! I do give him 90% of the credit!!! We came home and we had to make dinner for Scott, an autistic friend that Alex has, and he comes down every year for his birthday, and his favorite meal is for Alex to grill chicken and veggies, and make him his special quesadillas!!! Alex is so good at making things extra specail, ha made delicious quesadillas, I made Spanish rice, and Brownies. Alex designs his quesadillas and on one he spelled out HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCOTT, it was so cute. We then had brownies with a scoop of ice cream on top, and with whip topping with a cherry, and a fancy caramel-chocolate design. It was a great time. You did a great job with everything you did ALEX!!!! Another great thing about Alex is that he is so good at cleaning up after meals. He washes the dishes and cleans the kitchen!!! SO that I can take a nap!!! Oh I just love him to DEATH!!! After our nap we went on a motorcycle bike ride and had a nice evening!!! Well thats all until next time!!!
ONE MORE THING!!! I have been miserable all summer long, and my day of happiness finally came!!! It was the day that my kids went back to school!!!! It was this past WEDNESDAY!!!!! WOOOHOOOO. So now work is just great and I LOVE IT!!! Alex started school on Monday so we are all really proud of him!!! GOOD LUCK HUNNY, YOU WILL DO GREAT!!!!
